Hydrotherapies
The hydrotherapy uses hot and cold water as a wellbeing method for the body, based on three fundamental principles: heat, hydrostatic thrust and massage. It is a very effective treatment: it strengthens the cardio-circulatory system and acts also at a neuromuscular level. Without, obviously, forgetting the pleasure of relaxation.
The hydrotherapeutic treatments are included in the rates of the rooms.
Kneipp path
A walk on pebbles, with jets of hot and cold water to stimulate the plantar circulation and the peripheral arterial circulation of the lower limbs. The treatments carried out by alternating hot and cold water, through jets, baths and rubs, are called “Kneipp method”.
Jacuzzi
Let yourself go with the pleasure of a particularly relaxing massage, surrounded by plays of colour created to brighten up your soul, according to the principle of colour therapy.
Large indoor swimming pool
Polyfunctional, with the possibility of swimming against the current, where you can also do aerobic activities and relaxing stretching massages.
Warm treatments with colour therapy and aromatherapy
Let’s go back into time, when the ancient Romans indulged in moments of pleasures.
The aromatherapy, practiced for more than three thousand years, helps to relax using scents.
Scented substances are extracted from many plants, which with their very thin “vibrations”, interact with the magnetic field of our body, producing soothing benefits.
Colour therapy is based on the same principle, which uses colours with a therapeutical purpose.
Every colour is an electromagnetic emission which influences our physical and mental state.
The interaction between colours and scents with our organism rebalances the nervous system.
Tepidarium (warm bath)
It consists of a room with a temperature ranging between 35° and 38°C.
It is useful for getting the body and mind used to the highest temperatures which characterize other treatments. During your stay, the rising of body heat helps expelling toxins and strengthens the immune system.
Laconium (steam bath)
Here the temperature reaches 65°C.
In Roman thermae it used to be the “sudarium” area. It is a detoxifying sweat bath which helps the body get rid of toxins. It improves blood circulation in tissues producing a beneficial muscular and mental relaxation. It leaves your skin cleaner and brighter.
Calidarium (sauna)
A purifying steam bath, whose temperature can reach up to 45°C.
Hot steam envelops your body, whilst the lighting of the room gradually changes colour. Our skin and respiratory tract absorb the essential oil dissolved in the steam, in a sensation of total pleasantness. Indicated for rheumatisms, colds, bronchitis and allergies. Ideal for relaxing and toning after a sports activity, because it breaks down the lactic acid.
Emotional Shower
It is a soft and fresh mint scented nebulization, with astringent and stimulating properties. The little drops wet your skin cooling it down from the heat of the saunas and toning it up at the same time.
Equatorial Shower
Ideal after a sauna or a hot bath, the equatorial shower cools down and infuses energy into the whole body. It is called “equatorial” for the presence of aromas deriving from the Maracuja (passion fruit), a Brasilian fruit with relaxing properties. Peoples of the Amazon River use it as an analgesic and heart tonic.
